- Ability to work with children and families of diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to have flexible assignments across district in response to student needs (ages 3-adult).
- Utilize excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, paraprofessionals, and other professional staff members.
- Work alongside the Special Education Staff to provide support for students with Individualized Education Plans.
- Work with students individually and in small-targeted groups to teach behavior and academic skills.
- Collaborate with Special Education Staff on developing and implementing a student behavior plan or other student success plans.
- Experience working with children.
- Other duties assigned by Director of Specialized Instruction

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or higher
2. Required to pass Praxis® Test upon hire
3. Positive work history, including excellent attendance
4. Bilingual with Spanish and English (preferred)
5. Ability to transport students in school van as needed (preferred)
REPORTS TO: Ashley Ristau, Director of Specialized Instruction
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hourly pay in accordance with FPS paraprofessional wage scale
